Create New Community

Platuni allows landlords and property managers to create custom communities for each building, apartment complex, or property group. Communities help centralize communication, share property norms, and encourage tenant participation all within a secure platform.

Setting Up a New Community

Community

To create a community:

Create Community
  1. Navigate to the Community Module and click “Create New Community.”
  2. Enter community details:
    • Community Name – Identify the property, building, or tenant group.
    • Description – Include purpose, rules, or special notices.
    • Privacy Settings – Choose between public (any tenant in Platuni can join) or private (invitation-only).
  3. Add admins or moderators who can manage posts, events, and member activity.

Sharing Property Norms

Communities provide a central location for communicating rules, policies, and announcements, including:

  • Building regulations
  • Noise and visitor policies
  • Safety and security guidelines
  • Shared amenity usage instructions

Posts can include text, images, or attachments, ensuring tenants have clear, accessible guidance.

Enforcing Violations

Platuni communities also allow admins to monitor and enforce compliance:

  • Report violations – Tenants can report breaches of rules directly in the community.
  • Admin notifications – Alerts sent to property managers when issues are flagged.
  • Moderation tools – Post removal, warnings, or private messages to resolve conflicts.

This creates a proactive framework for maintaining order and accountability.

Engagement & Interaction

Communities also support:

  • Posts & Announcements – Share news, updates, or reminders.
  • Polls & Surveys – Gather tenant feedback quickly.
  • Events – Schedule building meetings, social gatherings, or maintenance notifications.

All interactions are logged, providing a clear history for future reference or audits.

Benefits

  • Centralized communication for tenants and landlords
  • Transparent property rule enforcement
  • Enhanced tenant engagement and satisfaction
  • Reduced conflicts and complaints
