Platuni Safety Tips
These Safety Tips are designed to support safe interactions and housing arrangements for all Platuni users. While Platuni works to create a secure platform, your awareness and caution also play an essential role in ensuring a safe experience.
1. Protect Personal Information
Avoid sharing sensitive personal information, such as your full address, financial details, or official identification documents, early in a conversation. Share gradually and only with trusted individuals.
2. Use In-App Messaging
Keep all communications within the Platuni App. This ensures your safety and allows our support team to assist effectively if any issues arise.
3. Meet in Public Spaces First
If you plan to meet a potential roommate or view a property, choose a public, well-populated location for your first meeting. Let someone you trust know where you're going.
4. Bring a Friend or Share Your Plans
When visiting a new space or person, consider bringing a friend or informing a close contact of your whereabouts. Check in afterwards to confirm you're safe.
5. Verify Listings
Request recent photos, virtual tours, or live video walkthroughs to confirm the authenticity of any listing before visiting or committing.
6. Be Cautious with Payments
Never send money before signing an agreement or verifying a listing's legitimacy. Be alert for suspicious requests, especially those pushing for quick or off-platform transactions.
7. Report Suspicious Activity
If another user behaves suspiciously, unethically, or violates Platuni's Community Guidelines, contact our support team at support@platuni.com or initiate a live chat on our website. We investigate all concerns.
8. Keep Your Account Secure
Use a strong, unique password and do not share your login credentials. Enable multi-factor authentication if available.
These tips are intended to promote safety and trust throughout the Platuni experience. Thank you for doing your part to help create a secure and welcoming community.
