Marketing and Demand Generation Lead, Canada

Location:Canada, Remote
Employment Type:Full Time, Initial six-month contract.

About Platuni

Platuni is a property management and resident experience platform for property managers and operators. The platform brings together key workflows across listings, applications, leasing, payments, maintenance, communications, reporting, and resident coordination.

Our focus is helping operators reduce manual work, improve visibility, strengthen the resident experience, and manage more of the rental journey and portfolio operations in one place.

The opportunity

We are hiring a Marketing and Demand Generation Lead to lead Platuni’s marketing across Canada and the United States.

This is not a strategy only or advisory role. We are looking for a hands-on marketing leader who can develop the plan, execute campaigns, measure results, and build the systems that will support Platuni’s growth.

You will lead our go to market marketing strategy, demand generation, webinars, newsletters, paid campaigns, content, brand development, lead nurturing, conversion improvement, and sales enablement. You will work directly with Platuni’s founders, business development leads, product team, designer, and content support.

The role is designed for someone who can turn customer insights into strong positioning, campaigns, qualified pipeline, and measurable commercial results. You will have meaningful influence over how Platuni enters new markets, communicates its value, earns industry trust, and converts attention into customers.

What you will do

• Build and own the marketing plan for Canada and the United States.

• Refine Platuni’s positioning, messaging, ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, and market specific value propositions.

• Develop campaigns for property managers, multifamily operators, student housing providers, affordable housing organizations, strata and condominium managers, brokerages, and rental housing associations.

• Build and manage a webinar program, including topics, speakers, registration pages, promotion, presentation materials, live delivery, follow up, and conversion tracking.

• Create and manage newsletters that educate prospects, nurture relationships, share product developments, and move qualified leads toward conversations with the sales team.

• Plan and execute demand generation campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, email, retargeting, partnerships, events, and relevant industry channels.

• Develop landing pages, lead resources, email sequences, campaign offers, calls to action, and conversion journeys.

• Build Platuni’s brand through useful industry content, founder thought leadership, customer stories, market insights, partnerships, and media opportunities.

• Turn webinars, interviews, customer conversations, and product insights into articles, social content, email campaigns, short videos, guides, and sales materials.

• Support the business development leads with presentations, case studies, proposals, comparison materials, follow up resources, and account specific campaigns.

• Establish lead qualification, scoring, routing, nurturing, and attribution processes.

• Track marketing accepted leads, qualified meetings, pipeline, conversion rates, campaign costs, and marketing sourced revenue.

• Review campaign performance regularly, stop weak activities, and concentrate approved spending on the strongest opportunities.

• Maintain accurate reporting across the CRM, advertising platforms, website analytics, and campaign dashboards.

• Coordinate approved designers, writers, video editors, advertising specialists, and other creative resources when required.

• Document the playbooks, systems, messaging, campaign templates, and reporting processes that future team members will use.

What we are looking for

• Five or more years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, growth marketing, product marketing, or a related role.

• Experience marketing business software, property technology, real estate technology, or another product with a considered sales process.

• Evidence that you have personally built campaigns that generated qualified pipeline, customers, and revenue.

• Strong experience planning and delivering webinars, newsletters, email campaigns, paid advertising, content programs, and lead nurturing.

• Experience developing positioning and messaging for different customer segments and buyer roles.

• Strong knowledge of LinkedIn advertising, Google advertising, CRM systems, email automation, website analytics, and conversion measurement.

• Experience working across Canada and the United States, with an understanding of how messages, channels, and customer expectations may differ between both markets.

• Strong writing, communication, project management, analytical, and commercial skills.

• Comfort working directly with founders in an early stage company where priorities can evolve as customer evidence grows.

• The ability to develop strategy while personally executing the work required to move campaigns forward.

• Sound judgment when managing advertising budgets and external resources.

• A clear focus on qualified pipeline and conversion, not only impressions, engagement, traffic, or follower growth.

• Consistent weekly availability and the capacity to treat Platuni as a serious operating commitment.

Experience within property management, multifamily housing, student housing, affordable housing, rental technology, leasing, payments, maintenance, or resident experience would be an advantage.

What success looks like

During the initial six months, success will include:

• Clear positioning and messaging for Platuni’s priority Canadian and American customer segments.

• A structured marketing calendar covering campaigns, webinars, newsletters, content, partnerships, and paid acquisition.

• Consistent webinar and newsletter programs that produce engagement and qualified sales conversations.

• Reliable tracking from first marketing interaction through meeting, opportunity, customer, and collected revenue.

• Growing awareness and trust among property management decision makers.

• Measurable marketing accepted leads, qualified meetings, sales pipeline, and marketing sourced revenue.

• Stronger conversion across landing pages, email journeys, demonstrations, proposals, and follow up.

• A documented marketing system that Platuni can repeat, improve, and expand.

Final performance targets will be agreed during onboarding based on Platuni’s current baseline, average contract value, sales cycle, available budget, and market priorities.

Compensation and upside

This six month contract includes a monthly retainer plus performance incentives tied to agreed marketing milestones, qualified pipeline, and marketing sourced collected revenue. Additional opportunities may include bonuses for exceptional results and potential equity eligibility based on performance, continued engagement, and formal approval.

Campaign spending, software, events, contractors, and external production costs will be managed through separate approved budgets.
